The M1 line is a subway line on the Copenhagen Metro . It is shown in green on the network plan.

Route

The line has a length of 13.7 kilometers, of which six kilometers run underground. Seven of the 15 stations are underground. The travel time of the entire line is approx. 22 minutes.

Your starting point is at Vanløse station in the western part of the Vanløse district of the same name . From there it runs through the center of Copenhagen to its south-east end point Vestamager in the Ørestad district . From Vanløse to Christianshavn station , the line is shared by the M2 line , after which the M2 continues east.

history

The M1 line opened on October 19, 2002 on the Nørreport - Vestamager section . On May 29, 2003 it was extended to Frederiksberg station . The last extension opened on October 12, 2003 when the line was inaugurated to its current starting point in Vanløse.

Tact

The clock frequency is usually 4–6 minutes. On the section between Vanløse-Christianshavn, trains run every two minutes during peak times.
