Kappel Gutachbrücke is a disused train station on the Höllentalbahn in the Black Forest . It is located on the Wutach Gorge at an altitude of 787 m .
history
When the Höllentalbahn opened, it was called Kappel-Lenzkirch . However, since from 1907 a branch line ran from this station via Kappel and Lenzkirch to Bonndorf in the Black Forest ( Kappel Gutachbrücke – Bonndorf route ), it was renamed. The addition Gutachbrücke was added because there was a stop called Kappel-Grünwald on the branch line. The branch line was shut down in 1966 for passenger traffic and in 1976 for freight traffic as well . Today even trains of the Höllentalbahn no longer stop at the station.
Since 2014, the station has served the MC Thunderbird's Titisee-Neustadt chapter as a clubhouse, which has since renovated it.
