The Mook Molenhoek Station is on the Maas line situated through station in Molenhoek, in the municipality of Mook en Middelaar in the Dutch province of Limburg . The current station facility dates from 2009.

history

The first station went into operation on June 1, 1883 as Mook Station . Their draft was designed by the architect Marinus Antoine van Wadenoijen as the standard type Hemmen . On January 1, 1891, her name was changed to Mook-Middelaar Station . The station was closed to passenger traffic on May 15, 1938. Two years later, on the day of the Dutch surrender , it reopened and closed again in the autumn of the same year. The former station building was finally demolished in 1975.

On May 6, 2009, a new stop was opened, which was built as part of the Stadsregiorail program of the Stadsregio Arnhem-Nijmegen . In contrast to the past, today's stop does not have a station building. Efforts have been made since the beginning of 2018 to green the area around the station. For example, the municipality of Mook en Middelaar is planning to convert the area into a natural landscape.
