The Taipower Building Station ( Chinese 台電 大樓 站 , Pinyin Táidiàn Dàlóu Zhàn , English Taipower Building Station ) is a subway station on the green line (Xindian Line) of the MRT Taipei , located between the districts of Da'an and Zhongzheng .
Overview
The station is on the lower part of Roosevelt Road , between the Shida Lu and Xinhai Lu intersections . The station number is G9. Shida night market is nearby.
The name of the station comes from the main building of the Taiwan Power Company ( Chinese 台灣 電力 公司 , Pinyin Táiwān Diànlì Gōngsī ), which is, however, halfway between the Taipower Building station and Gongguan . The original plan was to name the station Sānzǒng ( 三 總 ).
The station is an underground island station with five entrances and exits.
