The Toledo train station (Spanish Estación de Toledo ) is the train station of the city of Toledo in Spain . It is east of the city.

The station is used for trains in particular to Madrid . Trains to Madrid have been running on the high-speed line Madrid – Toledo since November 2005 , for which purpose the existing line was converted into an approximately 21 km long branch line with standard gauge tracks, which connects to the high-speed line at La Sagra . Operationally, it is a terminal station .

The current reception building was completed in 1919 according to plans by the architect D. Narciso Clavería y Palacios. It is a five-part symmetrical building with a large central section, but with an additional high tower added on the west side. There was a royal waiting room on the first floor of the tower. The building and tower are richly decorated with Mudejar-style shapes , making reference to the architectural heritage of the city of Toledo. The station building is an important example of historic railway station architecture.
