The Khiva station is the station of the city of Khiva in Uzbekistan .
Geographical location
The station is the end of the branch line from Urganch to Khiva. It is located there east of the city center and is connected to the historic old town by a boulevard about one kilometer long .
investment
The station and reception building were newly built by the Uzbek State Railways and put into operation in spring 2019. The station forecourt was also redesigned and decorated with a large fountain , which is illuminated in bright colors at night. At the same time, three new hotels were built here.
The station is designed to handle 200 travelers at the same time. The facilities include separate waiting rooms for passengers in the lower and upper carriage classes and for “mother and child”, as well as shops.
