Bahnhofstrasse (Wolfenbüttel)

The Bahnhofstrasse is a street in Wolfenbüttel in Lower Saxony .

location

Bahnhofstrasse is located in the southwest of downtown Wolfenbüttel and runs north-south from the Harztorwall to the Im Kalten Tale street. The length of the street is about 400 meters. The numbering of the houses starts at the north end in the west and runs back in a horseshoe shape. Schulwall, Bahnhof and Goslarsche Straße go west from Bahnhofstraße and Harztorwall to the east. There is a shopping mall and cinema at the southern end.

Monuments

At the northern end of Bahnhofstrasse, opposite the Hotel Bahnhofstrasse 12, there is a memorial for the former Jewish citizens of Wolfenbüttel. This memorial was created according to a design by the Wolfenbüttel art school “All Around Art” and erected on August 25, 2006.

There are stumbling blocks in front of the buildings at Bahnhofstrasse 3 and Bahnhofstrasse 4.
