Traction power line Flörsheim – Stuttgart
The Flörsheim – Stuttgart traction current line is an approx. 188 km long 110 kV traction current connection of DB Energie , which runs from the Flörsheim substation via the Weiterstadt , Mannheim , Wiesental and Vaihingen / Enz substations to Stuttgart-Zazenhausen and was commissioned in 1990. It is primarily used to supply power to the Mannheim – Stuttgart high-speed line . Due to the high utilization, it is designed for four circuits with double bundles, of which only two circuits are usually occupied.
