The Baie d'Antongil is the largest bay in Madagascar .
It is located on the north east coast of the island and administratively belongs to the province of Toamasina . The Baie d'Antongil is 60 km long and up to 30 km wide, its eastern side is formed by the Masoala peninsula , on which the Masoala National Park was established. At the northern end of the bay is the town of Maroantsetra .
