The Baie du Skodern ( French ) is a small bay on the coast of the East Antarctic Adélieland . It is located west of Cape Jules .
French scientists named it after the Skodern motorboat , which was used for hydrographic surveys in this area from 1951 to 1952 and which sank on May 17, 1952.
