Lists on the subject

The Baikal ISch-35M ( Russian ИЖ-35 ) is a sport pistol in caliber .22 lfB for the Olympic discipline rapid-fire pistol (men only) and sport pistol (women only), as well as for the non-Olympic ISSF world championship standard pistol.

It was specially developed for shooting sports and uses the possibilities of the competition regulations as far as possible. The barrel has the maximum permissible length, which ensures good guidance of the bullet in the barrel and thus a precise flight path. The line of sight also has the maximum permissible length, which enables very precise target guidance.

The axis of the barrel is very low on this pistol. The distance between the upper edge of the hand and the barrel axis is reduced to the minimum permissible dimension. This causes less torque to arise when the shot is fired and thus less warping. In order to actively counteract the unavoidable generation of torque when the shot is fired, the hammer is mounted in such a way that an opposing, compensating torque is created when firing.

As usual for this discipline, the magazine holds five cartridges, which are fed through a rod magazine from below through the pistol grip.

Dealer models

Carl Walther GmbH procured the weapon in its ready-to-whiten condition from Russia, finished it and sold it as Walther KSP 200 . Also Frankonia revised this sport pistol offered it as Frankonia IJ 35 special or Frankonia favorite to. Typical revision steps included the shutdown or removal of the handle protection, the installation of a slide catch, the reworking of the rear sight cutout, sports grips and, if necessary, a redesign of the trigger.
