Bairbre de Brún
Bairbre de Brún (born January 10, 1954 in Dublin ) is a Northern Irish politician from Sinn Féin and a former member of the European Parliament for the constituency of Northern Ireland.
The former teacher and social worker was a member of the Northern Ireland Assembly from 1998 to 2004 . During this time de Brún was Minister for Health, Welfare and Public Safety in the Northern Irish Government from 1999 to 2002.
From 2004 until her resignation on May 2, 2012, de Brún sat as a member of the United European Left / Nordic Green Left in the European Parliament. Martina Anderson moved up for her.
