Bait ul-Islam (Maple)

Bait ul Islam

The Bait ul Islam ( Urdu بیت الاسلام DMG Baīt al-Islām , German 'House of Islam' ) is a mosque of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in Vaughan in northern Toronto in Canada . It was opened on October 17, 1992 in the presence of the Caliphate ul-Masih  IV and many members of Parliament. The mosque has a minaret and two domes.

Surrounding communities declared October 16 and 17, 1992 to be "Ahmadiyya Mosque Day" and the week from October 16 to 23, 1992 as "Ahmadiyya Mosque Week".

Peace Village

The Peace Village is a settlement project of 260 houses built on 50 hectares of land in the Maple district , a walk from the Bait ul-Islam mosque. All nine streets of the quarter are named after the caliphs and other prominent Ahmadi supporters. The main street is called Ahmadiyya Avenue and there is also a public park called "Ahmadiyya Park". Construction began on April 5, 1999.

Jamia Ahmadiyya

The Bait ul-Hamd ( locality ) located nearby in Mississauga (southwest of Toronto), serves as Jamia Ahmadiyya (training center for missionaries) for North America .
