The Bait us-Salam ( "House of Peace" ) is a mosque of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat in Sarajevo , the first of this religious community in Bosnia .

The shell of the building was bought from the Swedish government, which wanted to build a new embassy building in Sarajevo, but which decided not to complete the project after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 . The building was completed as a mosque and opened in 2004.
