The Baker Knoll is an approximately 900 m high and isolated hill on Montagu Island in the archipelago of the South Sandwich Islands in the South Atlantic . It rises from an icy caldera southwest of Mount Belinda .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2013. It is named after the British geologist Peter Edward Baker (1937-2008), who carried out the first geological mapping of the South Sandwich Islands in 1964.
