Bala and Dolgelly Railway

The Bala and Dolgelly Railway was a British railway company based in Wales .

On June 30, 1862, the company received the right to build a railway line from Bala to Dolgellau . In Bala there was a transition to the Corwen and Bala Railway . The line was operated from the opening on August 4, 1868 by the Great Western Railway . From July 12, 1870, the company established the connection to the route of the Cambrian Railways in Penmaenpool , as this was not financially able to do so. However, the section was operated by the Cambrian Railways. On July 23, 1877, the Bala and Dolgelly Railway was taken over by the GWR.
