The Bald Knoll is the youngest of a chain of basaltic cinder cones in the southwest part of the Paunsaugunt Plateau in southern Utah , United States . The crater is very well preserved and produced an olivine-basaltic lava flow that extends through the Johnson Valley to a distance of 12 kilometers in a south-southeast direction. The exact age of the lava flow is unknown. There are no scientifically proven data about the point in time when the cinder cone formed.
