Baldet is an impact crater on the far side of the moon . It is located in the basalt and lava-rich region between the Cori craters in the north, Stoney in the southwest and Minkowski in the southeast.

The crater rim is low and weathered, but has been preserved in its original round shape. The shallow interior of the crater is filled with lava and has a lower albedo than the surrounding area.
