Bali is a Canadian - French animated series. It was produced in 2006 by the studios Planet Nemo Animation and Divertissement Subséquence in France and Canada and first broadcast on France 5 on September 4, 2006 . It was broadcast as a single episode of 13 minutes and as a double episode of 26 minutes. The series was broadcast in more than 50 countries. A stage show was performed in Paris.
The idea for the series comes from the French children's book series Bali by Magdalena and Laurent Richard. The title song was originally sung by the French singer Pakita . According to Planet Animation Nemo , a second season with 52 episodes is in preparation.
Bali
The main character is the four-year-old Bali, who lives with his family in a high-rise in the city. Important people are his cuddly toy Kikou, his family and his friends Tito and Tamara. The adventures mainly take place in the family home and in the park in front of the house. Other places of action include the kindergarten and the homes of the grandparents of Bali. It is characteristic that all figures represent humanized animals, Bali and his family are dogs, there are also foxes, cats, mice, giraffes, rhinos and more. The series shows everyday life and experiences of a kindergarten child. Each episode covers a topic such as wanting to ride a bike, a family member's illness, an argument in the playground, and more. A regular motif is that Bali has a short daydream in every episode. Here the current problem is thematized and a solution is shown musically and with singing, which Bali then puts into practice.
