The Ball og Skiklubben av 1914 , mostly briefly only B.14 , was a Norwegian sports club from Oslo , which was best known for its ice hockey department .

history

The Ball og Skiklubben from 1914 was founded on January 1st, 1914. The club's ice hockey department took part in the 1938/39 season in the Hovedserien , which at that time was the highest Norwegian league. In the 1939/40 season , the team failed in the first round of the Norwegian championship, which was held in cup mode this season .

On October 4, 1940, the Oslo-Sparta association was merged into the Ball and Skiklubben av 1914.

In 1952 the club merged with SK Strong and SK Spero . The Grüner IL was created through the merger of the three clubs .

In addition to ice hockey, the B.14 also had a bandy, football and ski department. The bandy division became national champions in 1929.
