Kennedy Mausoleum and remains of the old parish church

The building, also known as the Kennedy Monument , dates back to 1605. It was originally built as a private chapel by members of the Kennedy clan . A parish church was built next to it in 1617 and the chapel was attached to the new building. With the construction of the new parish church around 200 years later, the old church was torn down and the stone material was reused for construction. Only the mausoleum with a short section of the former church facade remained. Located around 50 m south of the parish church, the Kennedy Monument has an elongated floor plan 6.4 m long and 5.5 m wide.
