Balthasar Elischer
Balthasar Elischer (born March 23, 1818 in Prešov , Sáros county , † March 25, 1895 in Budapest ) was a collector in Budapest.
He belonged to that broad German-Hungarian bourgeois class that particularly revered Goethe and his time. He began collecting Goethe relics in the 1850s and was the founder of the Elischer Collection , one of the world's most famous collections about Goethe .
