Baltic exhibition
The Baltic Exhibition in Malmö from 1914, ( Swedish Baltiska utställningen ) was an arts and crafts exhibition of the Baltic Sea region. It took place from May 15 to October 4, 1914, regardless of the First World War that had broken out in the meantime .
Participating states
The experienced exhibition designer Ferdinand Boberg was the responsible architect . Participating countries in the exhibition were Sweden , Denmark , Germany and Russia . The exhibition took place in the area of today's Pildammspark in Malmö and was shaped by Art Nouveau and Expressionism .

End of the exhibition
After the outbreak of war, the German and Russian exhibitors withdrew, the Russians leaving behind a valuable art collection, which Josef Stalin still claimed in vain for the Soviet Union . Today it can be found in the Malmö Art Museum .
