The Banco de Bogotá was founded in 1870 as the first credit institution in Colombia in the capital Bogotá . Today the bank is part of the largest financial investment company in Colombia, the Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores holding . With approximately 650 branches across the country, Banco de Bogotá SA is the second largest Colombian bank in terms of assets.
