Banco de Previsión Social (building)

The Banco de Previsión Social is a building in the Uruguayan capital, Montevideo .

The office building, which was built in 1957 as a result of a competition for its construction, is located in the Barrio Cordón on Calle Colonia 1921 and Avenida Daniel Fernández , Mercedes and Arenal Grande . The first construction phase of the structure planned in 1960 was inaugurated in 1975. Walter Chappe and Mario Payssé were responsible as architects . The building, which is not far from the old headquarters of the Banco de Previsión Social , has been classified as a Bien de Interés Municipal since 1995 .
