Mario Payssé Reyes (born March 5, 1913 in Montevideo , † January 13, 1988 there ) was a Uruguayan architect .

He was the fifth of seven children of Dr. Eduardo Payssé Neri and María Josefa (Pepita) Reyes Lerena were born in Montevideo.

Between 1932 and 1937 he studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the Universidad de la República under Julio Vilamajó, among others . He then went on a trip to northern Africa, visited parts of Europe and, on his return to Uruguay, began working as a lecturer at the university. He also worked as an architect and was involved in the regulatory plan of the Intendencia Municipal de Montevideo and here in phases in the planning of the Parque Zoológico de Santiago Vázquez (Parque Francisco Lecocq).

He gave up teaching in 1957 at the age of 44 due to health problems. However, other architectural projects followed, in which he was at least involved.
