Band-Skyphoi (singular: Band-Skyphos ) are a hybrid of the normal Skyphoi and band-shell . The shape of the skyphoi is combined with the decorative shape of the ribbon bowls.

In the external form, the band skyphoi are a little more stocky than the skyphoi of the Komast group . Their lips are concave, as with ribbon cups. The quality of the works is to be rated lower than the bowls, which the producers must have been aware of, as no band skyphoi with a signature has yet been found. There are a couple of similar shapes. For example, the Hermogenic Skyphoi , which are manufactured in the same way as the Komast group and have particularly fine walls and slightly swinging lips. In addition to the normal decoration, the Amasis painter shows an additional red stripe both outside and inside in the Skyphos. It also shows an interior picture of Critomenes .
