VHF band III
VHF band III (short: Band III or VHF-H ) is the designation for the frequency range in the VHF range between 174 and 230 megahertz (MHz) .
In this frequency range are DAB - band channels 5A to 12D, and parts of the cable television housed. The broadcast via antenna takes place via terrestrial transmitter networks .
VHF band III has not been used for DVB-T since 2011; this was a special approach in Germany. The frequency range was released in favor of digital terrestrial radio (DAB).
