Bandiaeapolosegus

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bandiaeapolosegus is the name of a Celtic deity . It was found only once on an inscription from Norba Caesarea in the Roman province of Lusitania (now Las Broças in Portugal ). This inscription bears the text:

Bandiae / Apolo / sego {LV} / Lupus Ta / ncini f (ilius) a (nimo) l (ibens) v (otum) s (olvit)

An Interpretatio Romana with Apollon is assumed because of the second part of the name.
