The Elfringhausen Ribbon Weaving Museum is located in Elfringhausen , Hattingen . It was opened on May 11, 1996 and presents the history of ribbon weaving in town, which was an important acquisition in the 19th and 20th centuries. The museum is sponsored by the Citizens' Association, Local History Association and Transport Association Elfringhausen and the surrounding area.

The exhibits include a loom based on the Joseph-Marie Jacquard system .
