The fifth Bandy World Championship for Women was held from 24. February bis 27. February 2010 in the Norwegian Drammen instead. The games were played by the Federation of International Bandy (FIB) on the Marienlyst Kunstis ( German  Kunsteisbahn Marienlyst ).

Sweden also defended the world championship title in the fifth edition of the World Cup with a 3-2 final win after extra time over Russia and thus secured its fifth title overall. Bronze went to the Norwegian team after a 3-2 win against the Canadian team. As in 2008, the pairings for the games for fifth place, third place and the final were determined based on the final table of the preliminary round.

The team from Hungary, which started in 2007 and 2008, did not start in 2010, which means that for the first time since 2006, only six teams started. For the first time, the team from the United States remained without a single win or draw in the entire tournament.

The top scorer was the Swedes Johanna Pettersson , who also became MVP of the tournament, with nine goals .
