The monastery Bangtuo Si or Bathong Gompa , Bangtuo monastery etc. ( Chinese  棒 托 寺 , Pinyin Bàngtuō sì , English Bangtuo Monastery ) in the district of Zamtang (or Dzamthang; Chinese Rangtang ) of the Ngawa autonomous district of the Tibetans and Qiang in the north the Chinese province of Sichuan is a monastery of Tibetan Buddhism . His over two hundred monks belong to the Nyingma ( hongjiao ) and Jonang ( juenangjiao ) schools .

The monastery is located thirty-two kilometers from downtown on the Zequ (则 曲) River in Rongmuda Parish (茸 木 达 乡), five kilometers from East Rangtang Sangzhuluobulin Monasteries (东 壤 塘 桑 珠 罗布 林寺).

The monumental for its chorten and his Steinsutrenmauern (Ch. Shijing qiang ) famous monastery was in the time of the Mongol dynasty founded, the current buildings mostly date from the Ming and Qing dynasties . It has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (5-394) since 2001 .
