Bank Frick is a private bank based in the Principality of Liechtenstein and headquartered in Balzers . The bank was founded in 1998 by the Liechtenstein trustee Kuno Frick sen. (December 25, 1938 - June 27, 2017) was founded together with Austrian financial investors and is now owned by the Kuno Frick Family Foundation (65%) and Net1 UEPS Technologies, Inc. (35%), a NASDAQ - listed financial technology company. In 2017, it initially took over 30% of the shares from the previous sole owner, the Kuno Frick Family Foundation, and in 2018 a further 5% and in 2019 was exercised an option with a 70% stake.

Bank Frick's roots lie in private banking and in the development of financial services for an international clientele. In 2007 Bank Frick with 20 employees moved into its headquarters in Balzers. She has had a branch in London since 2011 . Around 120 people now work for Bank Frick.
The bank is now strategically expanding the field of digital banking services. The bank focuses on private, corporate and fund customers who are looked after by specialized departments at Bank Frick. Bank Frick has been the only institute in Liechtenstein to hold MasterCard and Visa acquiring licenses since 2011 .
Personal details
The former Prime Minister of Liechtenstein, Mario Frick , has been Chairman of the Board of Directors and has been responsible for the strategic management of the bank since 2008 . Edi Wögerer runs the company operationally. The Board of Directors is made up of Mario Frick, Roland Frick, Rolf Jermann, Herman Kotzé and Michael Kramer.
The former managing director Jürgen Frick was shot dead by a failed fund manager in April 2014 . Since then, Edi Wögerer has been the CEO of Bank Frick.
