The Banka Ekonomike Sh. A. (BE) is a bank in Kosovo with its headquarters in Pristina and one of the first banks in the country following the war in Kosovo, founded by private investors.

BE received its banking license on May 28, 2001 and began banking operations in June of that year. In total, the bank had 33 branches in autumn 2017, seven of them in the main centers of Kosovo.

The bank is a member of the Fondi për Sigurimin e Depozitave të Kosovës (FSDK), a deposit protection fund founded in 2011 .

Shareholders

The main shareholder of the bank is the Kosovar Albanian entrepreneur and former President of the Republic of Kosovo Behgjet Pacolli with 34.83% shares, followed by Afrim Pacolli with 32.95%
