Bankers Hall is a complex of buildings in downtown Calgary , Alberta . The building complex includes several office buildings with 53 floors and 197 meters high and a shopping mall.
The first building (Bankers Hall - East) is located at 855 2nd Street SW and was completed in 1989. The building was followed by Bankers Hall West, at 888 3rd Street West. After the building was completed, the building complex was the tallest in the form of twin towers.
Both buildings stand on a four-story podium (shopping mall) in which there are several shops, restaurants, cafes and other facilities. This is connected to the urban Plus 15 pedestrian path network, which connects several buildings in the city center. This pedestrian network can also be used to get to Calgary's largest shopping mall, The Core . The north-eastern area of the building complex was historically preserved by preserving and restoring the facade of the previous building and integrating it into the rest of the building complex.
An essential distinguishing feature of the building is that one building has a gold-plated roof top and the other building has a silver-plated roof top.
