The castle Planschwitz is an Outbound hilltop castle on a 460 m above sea level. NN high altitude peak in the middle of the Planschwitz district of the city of Oelsnitz / Vogtl. in the Vogtlandkreis in Saxony .
Planschwitz Castle was first mentioned in 1297 in the possession of the Lords of Planschwitz and, like the nearby Stein Castle, belonged to the lordly castle complexes of the Plauen rulership . Nothing is left of the former castle complex.
