Baodai Bridge

The Baodai Bridge ( Chinese  宝 带 桥 , Pinyin Bǎodài qiáo , English Baodai Bridge ) is an ancient arch bridge located in the city of Suzhou , Jiangsu Province , China. It was originally a road bridge, but today it is only open to pedestrians. Its total length is 316.8 meters, its width is 4 meters, the number of fields is 53. The original bridge was built in 806 during the Tang Dynasty , but it was destroyed and rebuilt several times. The current bridge was built in the Ming Dynasty under Emperor Zhengtong and was completed in 1446.

Since 2001 it has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (5-285).
