Baptista de Andrade

Baptista de Andrade (March 27, 1811 - February 26, 1902 ) was an admiral in the Portuguese Navy. The type ship of the Baptista de Andrade class was named after him in the 20th century .

In 1890 he was appointed fleet commander and after two years he became deputy chairman of the Admiralty.
