Barakani ( Arabic باراکانی) is a settlement on the Comoros island of Anjouan .

Barakani has grown together with the places Ouani and Gnantranga . The urban region lies on the west coast of the northern tip of the island and Barakani lies inland from Ouani. The airfield Ouani Airport is located north of the settlement. The population is estimated at over 6,000.
