The Grande Thonaise is a river in France that runs in the Center-Val de Loire region . It rises near the hamlet of La Brande de Vilaine , in the eastern municipality of La Berthenoux , drains north to northwest and flows into the Petite Thonaise after about 26 kilometers in the municipality of Bommiers as a right tributary . The Grande Thonaise rises and flows into the Indre department , but also runs in between in the neighboring Cher department .
