Baraundha ( Baraunda , Barannda , also Pathar-Kachhar ) was a princely state of the Central India Agency in the Bundelkhand region of British India in what is now the state of Madhya Pradesh . The Raghuvansi - Rajput principality had existed since the 16th century. Baraundha was a British protectorate from 1807 to 1947 . Thakur Raghubir Dayal Singh (1874-1886) was raised to Raja in 1877 .

In 1901 Baraundha had an area of ​​565 km² and 16,000 inhabitants. On April 4, 1948, the Raja joined the Princely Union of Vindhya Pradesh and on January 1, 1950, joined India . On November 1, 1956, all princely states were dissolved and Vindhya Pradesh was added to the state of Madhya Pradesh .
