Barbara Ambrosius

Barbara Ambrosius (born November 25, 1944 in Drangstedt ) is a German lawyer and former judge at the Federal Court of Justice .

After the second state examination in law, Ambrosius entered the higher judicial service of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia , where she was appointed judge at the Bonn district court in 1978 . In 1981 she switched to the Lower Saxony judicial service. Here she initially worked as a judge at the Langen District Court and from 1988 as a judge at the Celle Higher Regional Court .

In 1996, Ambrosius was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice. It was first the III. and IV. Civil Division, in 2004 assigned to the X. Civil Division, where she primarily with legal issues from the Public Procurement Law , the Construction Law , the donation law and travel contract law was concerned. At her request, she took early retirement on December 31, 2007 .

Ambrosius is co-author of a commentary on the General Equal Treatment Act .
