Barbara Hahn (born before 1977) is a German physicist and professor at the Koblenz University of Applied Sciences .

Life

From 1977 to 1984 she studied physics at the University of Münster with a diploma. From 1985 to 1989, the dissertation was carried out at the Fritz Haber Institute , BESSY, Berlin and Bielefeld University .

After working at Bielefeld University in 1989, Hahn moved to Forschungszentrum Jülich in 1991 . From 1991 to 1992 she worked at the Institute for Solar Energy Research in Hanover. She then worked at the Institute for Solid State Research at Forschungszentrum Jülich until 1999. In June 1999 she completed her habilitation as a Lise Meitner scholarship holder at the University of Cologne .

Since August 1999 she has been working at the RheinAhrCampus Remagen (Koblenz University of Applied Sciences) as a professor in the field of mathematics and technology.

From 2000 to 2006 she was chairman of the examination board in the department of mathematics and technology. Between 2006 and 2009 she took over the scientific management of the Ada Lovelace project in Rhineland-Palatinate .

From 2007 to 2012 Hahn was a member of the commission of the Equal Opportunities Working Group of the German Physical Society .

Hahn has been Vice Dean of the Department of Mathematics and Technology and the Central Equal Opportunities Officer at Koblenz University since 2017.
