Barbara Kadow

Barbara Kadow (born Barbara Kühn on May 18, 1943 in Breslau ) is a former German basketball player . She played international matches for the GDR and the FRG .

Life

In 1967 she reached fourth place with the GDR selection at the World Cup and was the second-best goal scorer of the GDR women during the tournament with 13.5 points per use. She came to a total of 74 appointments in the GDR national team. At club level she played in the German Democratic Republic in Halle and Berlin ( Berlin TSC ).

She later lived in the Federal Republic and played international matches for the West German selection: At the European championship tournaments in 1974 and 1976 she was one of the top performers in Germany. At club level, she played in West Germany for Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga. Due to a pregnancy, she took a break and returned to the Hamburg women in October 1973. In the 1973/74 season she led the HSV coached by Eli Araman as a top performer to the German runner-up.
