Barbara Wilk-Mincu

Barbara Wilk-Mincu (born October 29, 1939 in Berlin ) is a German art historian , librarian and Heinrich von Kleist researcher.

Life

Barbara Wilk-Mincu was born in Berlin in 1939 shortly after the start of the Second World War. The Wilk family lived in Potsdam from 1942 and moved to West Berlin in 1951 . Wilk-Mincu first studied art history , Egyptology and ethnology at the Free University of Berlin and then at the University of Tübingen and received his doctorate in 1969. From 1969 to 1971 he studied library at the Württemberg State Library in Stuttgart and at the Library School in Frankfurt am Main . From 1971 she worked as a specialist in art history at the Berlin State Library - Prussian Cultural Heritage. In addition, she wrote numerous essays, especially on the subject of Heinrich von Kleist in the visual arts . On her 80th birthday, the first volume of her work by Heinrich von Kleist appeared in the visual arts. Catalog raisonné in three volumes, on which she worked for 43 years.

Wilk-Mincu lives in Berlin with her husband, the artist Jon Mincu.
