Bare Island or Motu Kura is a small Pacific island in the south of the Hawke's Bay region in the east of New Zealand's North Island . It has an area of 15 hectares and reaches a height of 106 meters.
It is located 2 km off the coast of the North Island and 25 km south of Cape Kidnappers .
