The Bare Rock ( English for naked rock ) is a reef rock off the east coast of Signy Island in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is located 160 m northeast of Berntsen Point in the entrance to Borge Bay .
The rock was mapped and descriptively named in 1927 by participants in the British Discovery Investigations .
