The Berntsen Point is a headland on the east coast of Signy Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is on the south side of the entrance to Borge Bay .
Scientists from the British Discovery Investigations mapped the cape in 1927 and named it after the Norwegian captain Søren Berntsen (1880–1940), who helped the Discovery Investigations collect rock samples from Signy Island between 1927 and 1928.
