The Barff Point is a headland at the end of Barff peninsula on the north coast of South Georgia . It limits the entrance to Cumberland Bay to the east .
It is named after Lieutenant Arthur Douglas Barff (1877–1955) of the Royal Navy , who was involved in the survey of Cumberland Bay in 1906 on board HMS Sappho under the direction of Carl Anton Larsen .
