Bargfelder Moor

The Bargfelder Moor is a moor near the district of Bargfeld in the municipality of Aukrug in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district , Schleswig-Holstein .
The approximately 20 hectare area is a former raised bog , in which peat was extracted until the post-war years . The water level was lowered for peat extraction, so that the typical raised bog vegetation largely disappeared and birch trees spread.
